Hydraulic Stabplates - VIPERconnect

Viper Subsea has developed a family of hydraulic stabplates and associated products. The stabplate family has been given the trade name of VIPERconnect and with the technical specifications having been driven by our clients; the VIPERconnect family has been designed to meet the needs of the subsea industry for the foreseeable future.

The stabplate is designed for operation by ROV and offers market leading technical performance in terms of ROV interfaces, pressure ratings, weight and secondary release. The VIPERconnect plate comes in three separate sizes, to accommodate up to 8, 14 and 28 hydraulic couplings and is suitable for use at depths of up to 4000m. The plate is designed around the use of National Coupling's hydraulic couplers, offering a range of coupler sizes, working pressures and seal types. As well as the basic 'fixed' and 'flying' plates, the normal range of parking positions, protective covers, test and flushing plates are offered.

The plate has a novel latching mechanism with a secondary release that does not rely on any form of shearing mechanism. This results in a highly reliable solution that is physically smaller and lighter than traditional stabplate designs. This coupled with our incredible make-up misalignment capability, ensures that the VIPERconnect can be installed with vastly reduced ROV intervention times.

Viper Subsea have partnered with 'best in class' manufacturing and jumper manufacturers to be able to offer not only stabplates, but complete Hydraulic Flying Lead assemblies.

Viper Subsea can offer a unique support package to complement the engineering design and supply of the hardware. A complete technical and project services package can be offered including system hydralic analyses, interface engineering availability/ reliability calculations and the preparation of operational/ IRM procedures.
